I am so sorry for your loss. Alan was a great bloke and good mate. He helped this newbie to come to terms with country living and created a beautiful farmlet that I got to appreciate. I enjoyed his company and his sage advice. I shall also miss him, particularly when I am wrestling with my lathe wondering what would Alan do?
