My deepest sympathy to Mary, Kate and extended family. The world has lost a real gentleman who was extremely interesting and always open sharing his wealth of knowledge. Rest easy, Uncle Barry.

Mary, your father was a kind & generous man, I remember him fixing my first car (it was a bomb) after it blew a head gasket while driving to your place. Thank you for inviting me to the service, it was beautiful (& I lol at the bear story).

Barry was the best big brother ever- I loved him dearly. I have many beautiful memories of him but the one I share the most is that I loved him coming home from his posts and he’d take me for a drive as he was the only one with his license and a car. To this day one of my greatest pleasures is going for a drive. Barry was brilliant with his hands and was able to fix anything- with a young family I was able to give him many things to tinker with and repair- and with 7 children it saved me loads of money!! He enjoyed the simple things in life- nothing better than a baked dinner and any dessert with ice cream or custard- its a family trait. Until we meet again - loads of love Ailsia( sis) XXX
